Attorney Erick Kaardal comments,  "We appreciate the Star Tribune's coverage of the case.  We believe the case to be of national importance.  The case clearly asks, by what legal standard will federal Department of the Interior actions regarding Indian trusts be governed?  Our view is the government should be held to the same standard that would apply to a corporate or individual trustee  -- no more, no less.  The Federal Circuit disagreed.  We will proceed with the litigation."
